The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Starfish” is a refined look for the mid-top version of Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe. A February 2020 release from Jordan Brand, the “Starfish” colorway of the popular Air Jordan 1 model is a subtle nod to a classic and very rare shoe in Michael’s footwear line: the Jordan 1 High “Metallic Orange.” The “Starfish” doesn’t feature any metallic leather detailing like the “Metallic Orange,” though its blazing accenting does evoke a certain nostalgic feeling. Crisp white leather can be found on the perforated toe and mid-panel. Contrasting Pure Platinum leather overlays appear on the forefoot, eyelets, and toe cap. Both the nylon tongue and laces are finished off in the same shade of grey. A Starfish leather Swoosh logo appears on either side of the shoe. The fiery orange hue is used on the collar and sock liner. Final details include black Jumpman branding on the nylon tongue tag and black outline “Wings” detailing on the collar.
